Dear Young Husbands and Fathers
On this, the 5th day of a 7-day fast, I've been moving about in the ordinary activities of the day. Thoughts like these have risen and ruminated inside me . . .
Don't be cautious. Let down your guard in the Lord's presence, that the words I write may land in the deepest places of your spirit and soul. These are a . . .
Disciples or Scribes?
How comes Bible study and knowing the word does not produce the life and works of Christ in most Christians' lives? Our manifestation of God's power can fairly be said to be about the same as it was - with perhaps slight variation - 10, 20, 30 even 40 years ago. Today, Lord, I present myself to You.
Here I am - send me, show me, use me, empower me.
Fill my mouth with Your words of life.
Fill my heart with Your Spirit, Your presence.
I entrust all my . . .
Way Beyond
We have gone way beyond looking ridiculous as we stand at the threshold of the promised land continuing to cry out, "Oh Lord give us the heart to enter in. Give us the courage to rout the Giants and take the land that you have long since purchased for us."
Indeed, how long will we remain standing in leaden boots, before the . . .
