Calligraphy is a beautiful art form. I am enriched when I behold and contemplate a calligrapher's artistry.

That defining declaration unique to lovers of God; we walk by faith, not by sight, is a text often quoted by some to prove just the opposite. The notion put forth calls us to be satisfied and grateful for the gifts, promises and supernatural activities of God that cannot be seen in the here and now.

Oh, I see now. God really was out to call, to redeem and to save all the children in the world. But He needed a people to be His messengers, His witnesses. God would display Himself through His people as protector, deliverer, healer, provider and as a Father full of love, power, peace and kindness.

Remember how Esther, King Ahasuerus' newly crowned (Jewish) queen risked her life by entering the King's court, unsummoned, to plead for her people? The King's response is notable:

Keep the Stem, Toss the Flower?
Since the rebellion and fall of Adam and Eve, God longed to redeem and restore His children to the blessing of fellowship He'd originally intended at creation. How would God communicate to a people who'd died to every faculty able to perceive His Eternal Spirit? How would we as humans, for example, make ourselves known to gnats?

Such 'admonitions' are heard and remembered from our childhood. For me and others, the latter was far more common. Of course, no one can kick a person from here to kingdom . . .
