King David had an agenda.
One thing I have asked from the Lord, that I shall seek:
That I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
To behold the beauty of the Lord
And to meditate in His temple. Ps. 27:4
A multiplicity of wills dilutes our raw and relentless desire to walk in union with the Living One. It ensures fragmented, unfinished and impotent outcomes.
In a world where 1000 messages hourly pelt our minds and souls, it may be good to consider these things. One cannot process, accommodate or benefit from every conceivable point of view. When the message we desire to hear and communicate shares space with a thousand others, they are all equally diluted.
Single eye, single mind, single heart, single word . . . to walk in the Light of Life. Jesus said, when thine eye is single, thy whole body also is full of light; but when thine eye is evil, thy body also is full of darkness. Lk. 11:34
While we cannot stop the avalanche of messages outside, our personal agenda determines what our hearts and minds will behold.
. . .therefore I have set my face like a flint,
and I know that I shall not be put to shame. Isa. 50:7b
