Because God is so good at reclamation when bad things happen to people, is no proof that He’s the perpetrator of those things, or that He’s OK with them.
His preference instead is that we be the good that happens to people. We show and tell of the Savior’s compassionate heart and empowering grace.
We’re set as the head and not the tail. Since Christ’s triumph, the devil’s reign of torment and sickness is nevermore inevitable. Christ’s followers are given dominion over all the devil’s works. Such afflictions should not be construed as the sufferings and persecutions that attend believers who proclaim the very Gospel which destroys those demonic deeds.
The sons and daughters of God are the invaders, not the subjugated. We’re the bearers of great tidings, not victims cowering before a torturing fiend.
