Recently, I had a sense of the Lord saying within me: “I am your blessing, Bobby, and the blessing of those you bless.”
Peter writes in his first letter (verse 9a)
. . . bless, for to this you were called, that you may obtain a blessing.
Blessing is a seriously potent entity. It calls out from the spiritual realm, the substance of your declaration. Such a mighty force we carry - a profound privilege we’re given.
It’s as though the hosts of heaven stand ready to ride on your words, to carry them out. As a son or daughter of the Father, our faith-filled blessings please Him. He has set Himself to hear and honor the words we speak, and to release them into the ’seen’ realm.
In the Old Covenant one was contaminated by the darkness, sickness and enemies of the world.
Now, in Christ, we invade the world with the kingdom of light and life - darkness scatters, sickness bows and enemies are routed. Go in this your strength. Be strong in the Lord, in the strength of His might. Blessing is part of our arsenal.
This power to bless is scary good. You lift, you honor, you set free. You open broad avenues for good - grand vistas of hope.
Be liberal in your blessings. Be bold. The Blessing of all Blessings resides in you. Release Him with the words of your mouth.
