Being chronologically enhanced does not make for wisdom.
Wisdom is knowledge hammered, wrought in the furnace of experience.
Caleb would not be tagged wise in our day. He would have been ridiculed for taking on so much, so late in the game.
We attribute maturity (read: old age) to those who are ‘set in their ways.’
Overlooking tanks yet full of fire, vision and faith many ‘seasoned citizens’ slump and declare, “it’s too late to make a big change.”
Caleb, to me, is God’s revelation of enduring, unchanging faith. He's the gut punch to the monster we call, Impossible.
He is the physical declaration of the word spoken, with God, one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as one day.
How to say - It's never too late.
