We pick which experiences - failures, successes, that which happened or that which didn’t happen - we will give weight to. We attach them to ourselves as truths that shape and define our identity and faith.
Unconsciously, we allow our experiences to justify and excuse our powerlessness. We can site the reasons for our condition, even from the Bible. In fact, many choose to remain on the easier path of weakness.
We’ve know the call to enter the unseen promises of faith, of that which surpasses our reason, but shrink from running wholly into Him that speaks, and is able to accomplish all that concerns us.
No one expects us to do it alone. We are to, Be strong in the strength of His might. We must believe that, though, and pursue that reality until it's ours.
Let's place weight on Jesus' words of promise to us - and be transformed and empowered. The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.
