Christmas Eyes
The great Father of all looked from heaven and couldn't see the eyes of His children looking up to Him. The were lost and broken and afraid and could no longer find Him. They'd become slaves to a cruel deceiver who chained them to futility, despair and death.
Should God's beloved children die in such a state they could never be together with Him again. This was unbearable to God. Something must be done.
So, the Father of Life sent His own Son to earth to seek them out. To tell them again what He was like and how His heart loved and yearned for them. Jesus came to earth like one of us; a baby born through a mommy.
As he grew up He showed how a regular person could live in God's company - look into each other's eyes - as they were always meant to. To have the comfort and joy of being happy with each other all the time.
Jesus was God showing and telling us all He wanted us to know. To show what our Heavenly Father is really like, and to tell us of His secret mysteries and His never-ending love for us.
On the outside, Jesus did everything needed to set us free from death, darkness, sin and sickness - to bring us back to our true Father. Jesus conquered that wicked tyrant and triumphed over the world, the flesh and the devil.
The Bible sums this up perfectly:
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him."
Herein is the gift of Christmas - when all that Jesus came to do is done.
How, then, does the Gift of all Gifts get from the outside to the inside?
Your name is on the package that is now handed to you.
Do you take it?
Do you unwrap it?
Do you hold it, admire it and treasure it?
This priceless Christmas gift is opened like so . . .
"Whoever believes."
Believing with your whole heart brings the promise from the outside to the inside.
This gift is the New, Everlasting Life, comprised of God Himself, come to you in Jesus the Savior.
In believing, the lost, broken and fearful self is done away, forever.
In your believing, the Christmas of God born in a manger, is now born right inside you.
The Living word declares; He that is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
And so, he that is joined to Lord Jesus is one joy with Him.

We now gaze into the eyes of our Heavenly Father as we were always meant to.
Indeed, whoever is joined to the Lord is one life with Him.
