Do You Actually Want God's Promises?
If you wanted a job, you would fill out applications and visit places of employment.
If you wanted education, you would pick a school, jump through all the hoops, pay your money and enroll.
If you wanted to renovate your basement you'd plan, buy tools and materials, rip out the old and construct the new.
If I see correctly, in every case some action is required. In most cases tedious and persistent actions are required.
I see no verse in the Book saying that God jumps inside us to move our hands and bodies - to act for us.
I think we have to believe a promise, then do stuff in concert with that belief.
Since they're all ours . . . now what?
If you really wanted to attain a promise, what would you be doing?
Are you waiting to understand, before you act?
