Doing It
“He that believes in Me will do the works that I do.”
What are these “works,” I wonder?
“Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned."
. . .
“And these miracle signs will accompany those who believe:
They will drive out demons in the power of my name.
They will speak in tongues.
They will be supernaturally protected from snakes and from drinking anything poisonous.
And they will lay hands on the sick and heal them.”
So Jesus's priority and command to his disciples was to express the gospel with power.
Are we doing it?
Going to church is not doing it.
Reading the Bible is not doing it.
Going on mission trips is not doing it.
Listening to sermons is not doing it.
Preaching is not doing it.
Writing blogs and books (even this article) is not doing it.
Attending Christian seminars and conventions is not doing it.
Wearing bracelets, t-shirts, tattoos and jewelry is not doing it.
Singing praises and worship is not doing it.
Making scripture declarations is not doing it.
Tithing is not doing it.
Taking courses in supernatural ministry in not doing it.
Mark 16:20:
And they went out and preached everywhere, while the Lord worked with them and confirmed the message by accompanying signs.
Doing it, is doing it.
