Wouldn't the One who loved me,
Sought me
Found me
Bought me
Now nourish
Sustain
Lead
Empower
and disclose Himself to me?
Would He who for us --
spared not His only Son
Now withhold all that offering procured?
Would not that which He says and does
Be for me
and not against me?
Fear not little one
It is the Father's good pleasure
To give you His Kingdom.
Why suspect Him of incessantly searching
For ways to disqualify -
To keep you from Him?
As the Wellspring of all life and love,
Could such a One discard or despise you?
Forever, no!
But drawing, entreating, beckoning
He delights in your joy,
Your freedom
Your wholeness.
Every obstacle to life and love
He clears from you.
For the simple pleasures of your company
He yearns.
