Here I am, O Lord
Yours
All Yours
Gladly Yours.
You encompass me,
You rest present within me.
You, and not my lack, define me –
The abundance of Your favor,
Your esteem
Your delight in declaring me Your own.
I wear Your name.
Thank You.
I engage in daily affairs of work and play
With friends and acquaintances.
When I return and notice I am by myself,
I sometimes cry
Sometimes long
Sometimes laugh.
I offer You my tears,
My dreams,
And my laughter
For I do not walk alone.
You feel all I feel.
Indeed, You hold all that is dear to me.
You hold them as seeds planted in the earth
Patiently, lovingly, expectantly
Watering, watching, working
Making - as in a mystery -
The shoots and blossoms and fruit to come forth
In the most certain and satisfying way.
Yes, my times are Yours, My Father.
My kind and wise and happy Father
Here I am
All Yours,
So glad to be Yours.
