His Adventure

I am the Lord’s unfolding adventure.
Through me He interfaces with the world
Where I delight to do His will.
He reveals and expresses and creates
Through my mind and mouth.
With me He loves, seeks, finds, saves.

As His instrument He plays me.
As His tool he skillfully builds and creates with me.
Against the enemies of life and love and goodness,
He wields me as His weapon.
In the battle my arms swing
As sweat drips from my brow.

I shout and cry and exalt
In concert with His passions inside me.
I'm integral to His adventure.
He considers it ours.
He would have it no other way.

God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.
