Inside, Out
Jesus, triumphant, stands inside.
He bears the sword and calls you to swing it.
He carries a living word
Saying, “you, now, declare it.”
He holds in your depths the anointing
To deliver men from bondage,
Looking for you to break their chains
By His words from your mouth.
Jesus, in you, resides
As the Lord Almighty who heals,
With ever-reaching heart, His thoughts arise
Still, firm, clear -
As if He wore your skin,
As though He thought in your mind.
“Extend your hand,” He urges.
“You wear My Name,” He reminds.
Yes, Jesus, King of His Kingdom
Is smack in the middle of you
With treasures, boundless, of blessings
To impart with bold declaration
Obliterating darkness, brandishing His light,
Bringing destinies lost
Back again, to the home of His heart.
Wield swiftly, victorious one.
Declare now, life-herald.
Boldly command, O breaker of chains.
Extend then, bearer of His Name.
Proclaim aloud, blessing bringer,
Reclaimer of destinies.
Believe today, O King’s habitation, and shout!
Tell of His magnificent wonders.
Make tangible that Kingdom
Not made with hands.
