Lord Jesus, I wish not to say that
Given the conditions of my birth,
Due to the circumstances of my history,
Because of my family’s economic state,
Seeing the common standing of my family in the community
and my insignificance in the earth,
In light of all my particular limitations and weaknesses . . .

This is all that I could have offered to You.

Instead, my Savior, may I say that
Given Your boundless glory and goodness, love and mercy,
Due to Your sacrifice on my behalf - Your life and death, resurrection
and ascension to the Throne of Heaven,
Considering that You’ve made me a son in Your own family
and restored me to our truest Father,
Because You have bestowed on me all of your gifts of love
and power, and the authority of Your own Name,
Seeing that You are the Endless Life who saves to the uttermost,
Since You’ve chosen me as Your home, and brought along
all the blessings and benefits of Your salvation . . .

And so O Lord, here I am, send me. And may all that I accomplish be a thank offering - a bouquet of worship that reaches Your heart and makes You smile.
