It’s today, Let’s Believe!
Let’s read the Gospel as though we never heard of it before.
Let’s take the words we read to mean just what they say.
Let’s take for granted God knows how to communicate clearly to us. That He knows that we are capable of believing and simply expects us to do so.
Let’s ask the Holy Spirit to cause Jesus’ living words to fall like fire into our deepest places and ignite a faith that literally makes in us just what He intended.
Let’s believe and obey what we are told in the Gospels, no matter how far the church, our culture, or we ourselves may presently seem from it. Or, no matter what we’ve learned, or what men may say that is contrary to it, or falls short of it.
Our Savior/Redeemer calls us to a most vital task: “believe Me.” If you love Me, you will do what I say.
From Heaven the Almighty Father speaks, This is My beloved Son, hear Him.
If we’ve failed, let’s begin again. God, Himself, will help us. He will teach us if we come as children again.
Let’s keep it simple . . . and do it His way.
