It's fun sitting around with friends or family and pretending, "What would I do if I had a million bucks?" It's an imaginative way to learn a little about what one wishes for in his or her wildest dreams. A Beemer? To travel the world? A thousand-acre ranch in Wyoming? It's fun to pretend.
I was thinking what God might do if He had a million bucks. Yeah, it sounds silly. I know He's not short on cash. So I imagine Him saying:
"I have way more than a million bucks. In fact, the treasures of wisdom and light and the sparkling stones of ten thousand galaxies would barely show on a graph of My inexhaustible wealth. Yet, greater than the sum total of all riches in all the universe is the precious Son of My own heart. And while there's nothing I couldn't acquire, I pick you. I'd give Jesus to restore your eternal soul from death to life - forever with Me in gladness and joy."
Who knew that God, in His wildest dreams, wishes for you?
