2 Thessalonians 1:10-11
To this end also we pray for you always, that our God will count you worthy of your calling, and fulfill every desire for goodness and the work of faith with power,
so that the name of our Lord Jesus will be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
The power/dunamis of the Spirit of God is not a substitute for discipleship, personal responsibility, joyful praise or continuous meditation. But let's be absolutely certain of this; that none of those or any other religious element is a substitute for the PROMISE OF THE FATHER that empowers us to convincingly bear full witness to Christ.
If the Gospel of the Kingdom of Christ does not clearly demonstrate decisive dominance over the powers of darkness that we can see, such as sickness, bondage, torment, despair, how can we credibly pronounce forgiveness of sin, which we cannot see?
It is perfectly reasonable for anyone to question a belief we profess with our mouth that does not show up in our behavior and experience.
