The Three Greatest Human Powers
The will of man attracts heaven's resources to direct and accomplish his intentions.
Human desire reaches into the heavens and creates a draft in his soul that is irresistible to the heart of God.
You make your messengers into winds of the Spirit
and all your ministers become flames of fire. Psalms 104:4
The imagination is the playground and wonderland of the invisible world - believing, pretending, creating.
Each of these faculties extends beyond our humanity and is fastened to eternity. Planted into every person at birth, they are the avenues into the heart of God which draw from His own Spirit.
These invisible attributes connect with the secret place of the Almighty who imparts wisdom, revelation and knowledge. Sown into our essential nature is the ability to know and to intimately experience the God who made us. Much like the predisposition of a seed to reach for the sun.
It's no wonder Jesus makes such an astounding invitation;
I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. John 15:5,7
To rephrase; if by your will, desire and imagination you continually prize Jesus' words - you will draw the treasures and influences from the source of those words. These inborn human characteristics are inseparable from the unseen powers of the age to come. For, like seeks like, and deep calls to deep.
Caution: Mishandling immense power is dangerous.
Regardless of one's knowledge, these powers work! They cannot be thwarted. If one’s will, desire and imagination is kindled by false or destructive words or ideas, they will necessarily attract into themselves the spirits that fuel them. They cannot do otherwise. Deceptive spirits and strange fire abound and emanate from the world, man’s pride and the devil. Such fire is contrary to the Holy Spirit of God.
Remember, God gave human beings these powers for the sake of knowing Him. Each man decides what spirits he permits or expels; what fire he will tend or extinguish, within him.
