When Jesus said, As the Father sent Me, so send I you, was He not alluding to God's anointing Him with the Spirit, as referenced in Isaiah, chapter 61?
What did Jesus actually bestow and confer upon His disciples?
- His Name.
- His peace, joy, and love.
- His authority over all the power of the enemy.
- His authority to heal every kind of sickness and every kind of disease.
- His presence to confirm their preaching with attesting miracles.
- His God and Father was now the disciples' God and Father.
- The same access to the Father's love and power as His own.
Jesus could do miracles, but His body can't?
When does it dawn on us as ridiculous to think that, though Jesus healed all those who were oppressed by the devil, authorized His disciples to do the same, and sent the Holy Spirit to empower believers to bear Him full witness - e.g., re-present Him to the world, God may not really want us to heal people?
