As a kid I remember reading a quote in a picture frame which read,
What I gave, I have. What I kept, I’ve lost forever.
Some words take a few years to understand. Some words can never be understood apart from believing and doing.
If what you believe you have from God is just enough to hang on through this life 'til you get to heaven, then so be your salvation.
But if the Treasure you received makes you a king, a priest, a triumphant giant-slaying soldier who reigns in life, destroys the works of the devil, and lifts men from the slough of despair to a destiny of hope, life and peace, then you’ve got a salvation worth giving away. And you know what to do with it.
Learn, relish and consume the vastness and value of this Treasure.
Believe, enter and abide in the whole inheritance. Make like it's all yours - because it is.
Love it, do it and freely give it away.
Certainly, you could give nothing greater to anyone. How cool to be picked for this priceless assignment by the One whose presence empowers you. How cool to lavishly give away what will never run out, but multiplies in the giving.
He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things? Rom 8:32
