Lord Jesus, I must have the life for which You caused me to hunger.
Yet, as William Law says,
You must do all, or all I do is nothing.
Still I must offer the "all I do."
I must do all that You've made me capable of
in pursuit,
in prayer and longing,
in yearning,
in thanksgiving,
in desire,
in calling to You
and waiting before You,
in being attentive to Your voice,
in beholding,
adoring
and apprehending You.
