A promise creates nothing. It’s an announcement regarding an already existing reality.
When Jesus promised His followers: Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes in me will also do the works that I do, he did not manufacture a new privilege for them. He declared the right, the authority, the ability and the availability expressed in that promise.
The substance and certainty and power to do miracles, signs and wonders, healing and deliverance in Jesus’ name is a full-blown, objective existence. It is an entity outside of our physical eyesight. It is a living essence awaiting incarnation.
Believing the promise opens its substance into us.
Pursuing the elements of the promise transforms us.
Persistently practicing (obeying) - draws the promise from the unseen into the seen.
Doing partakes - and makes the promise our possession.
This is moving from glory to glory by the Spirit of God. This is the joyful mystery - the Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, . . . by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature. (2 Pet 1:3 & 4)
