Jesus addresses us squarely:

You shall be My witnesses.
Your life is not your own - you are the weapon of My warfare, the implement of My righteousness.
My directive is such: forsake your life for your own sake; surrender/enlist it for Mine.
Love not your own life unto death. Wholly and happily employ it to declare My glorious Gospel.
I took to Myself your destruction.
I make you brand new and place you in the Father's embrace.
I have all authority in heaven and on earth, and I am with you always.
Come, be My martyr.
My Father and I are pleased to give you the whole of this Kingdom - righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.

This is the one only call suitable to and worthy of the dignity and capability of men's souls.
This is why we live.
