Would you please the Lord?
Offer rousing, raucous, shameless celebration for any of a thousand of His favors.
Would you make His heart swell with joy?
With no conditions, receive, relish, and revel in his boundless love for you.
Would you see His face beam with glee?
Determine to give Him pleasure in your playful dancing and unabashed singing.
Would you know His delight and feel His favor?
Make up for Him an exuberant song - happy, elated and brimming with gladness.
Would you unite with heaven’s hosts and the great cloud of witnesses?
Declare God’s goodness with exultant, extravagant and triumphant shouts.
Would you burst open the geyser of hope - the exhilarating expectation of Gods lavish goodness - within you?
Employing your body as well as your voice, lift ecstatic, animated and rambunctious praise.
I’m not kidding. God, our Abba, likes this stuff. Tons of Psalms attest to it. (Check out Ps. 150.)
Don’t just do this for a minute or two. Do it until it changes your heart, until you forget yourself and get carried away with the One who makes the clouds His chariot.
Stick with it a few weeks and look out! You will be changed. Did you know that while God inhabits eternity, He is yet enthroned upon, and dwelling in your praises? (Ps. 22:3)
