Only you can stop the Spirit who is at work in you to will and to do His good pleasure. Not that you're stronger that He, but you may refuse to cooperate, resist His intentions and not join His adventure.

Only you can resist the same power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead, and currently surges inside you.

Only you can discard the invitation to unite with that measureless power that far exceeds anything you can ask or imagine.

God's declared word created the earth and the heavens and all that is within them. That word is near you, in your heart and in you mouth. Yet you alone can thwart it, by your unbelief and passivity or indifference.

Behold the terrifying, holy regard the Living God extends to the sons of men. He gives greater than the sum of all the riches, wisdom, and glories of Heaven - the very Jewel of His heart, to rescue, win and woo us.

And yet, He stays His almighty hand. He will not forcibly extract our trust or the willing devotion of our hearts, but with unspeakable humility, He grants us the right of refusal.
