God Has No Illusions
As your Creator
God has no illusions
About you.
Who you are.
What you are capable of.
God, therefore, speaks of you
As royalty; kings and priests.
As chosen and dearly loved.
His commands to reign in life,
To conquer evil,
Perpetuate goodness,
And bear His image

Resisting bad thoughts,
Suppressing unseemly urges,
Debating our doubts,
Rehearsing our shortcomings,
Sabotaging our better inclinations,
Dismissing compliments . . .
All You Can Hold
As a new creation in Christ
You have inside you
All the wisdom,
All the family honor and access,
All of the favor,
All of the freedom,
All of the privileges, powers and backing of heaven
That a human being is capable of.
You have the fullest measure of heaven
Present within you,
Now.
